Are you an experienced Cloud/Data Engineer ready to tackle a complex mix of cloud and on-premises infrastructure? This is your opportunity to join a leading clean energy company and support a data-heavy environment crucial for energy market modeling and scaling solutions. The attitude and long-term commitment are key for this team, and you will be empowered to drive reliability and performance across their critical data infrastructure.

As a Hybrid Cloud/Data Engineer & SysAdmin, you will:

  • Operate and improve a critical hybrid setup spanning AWS services and on-premises resources.
  • Maintain and enhance core data systems, including PostgreSQL databases, Kafka clusters, and data ingestion pipelines.
  • Modernize infrastructure by migrating systems into AWS CDK–based TypeScript automation.
  • Drive service reliability through improving monitoring and alerts for critical services feeding Kafka.
  • Enable a self-service DevOps model where developers can provision infrastructure using high-level IaC blocks.

What We're Looking For

  • AWS Proficiency: Expertise in AWS, ideally holding an AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate (SAA-C03) or higher.
  • Container & Infrastructure Expertise: Solid skills in Kubernetes (AWS EKS) for monitoring and optimization, and experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Programming & Database Fundamentals: A programming background in at least one language (e.g., Python or TypeScript) and practical administration experience with databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).
