We are supporting the search for a Commercial Battery Offtake Lead to play a central role in shaping the commercial strategy for utility-scale battery assets. This is a high-impact opportunity for someone who combines strong commercial judgement with a deep understanding of battery storage, route-to-market strategy, and long-term contract negotiation. You would work alongside a fast-growing, collaborative team helping deliver clean energy infrastructure at scale.
You would lead the commercialisation of battery assets across the full lifecycle, helping define how projects go to market, selecting optimisation partners, and negotiating robust, financeable agreements that align with asset performance and lender requirements.
- Structure commercial models including merchant, floor, tolling, and hybrid arrangements
- Manage legal workstreams with external counsel
- Align commercial structures with technical design, EPC inputs, and warranty frameworks
- Support project and portfolio financing alongside lenders, advisors, and internal finance teams
- Translate market forecasts into executable commercial structures and clear performance KPIs
- Provide commercial input into early-stage development and battery system design decisions
5+ years’ experience in power markets, energy trading, battery storage, or route-to-market strategy.
Strong knowledge of wholesale, intraday, balancing, and ancillary services markets.
Ability to turn technical battery concepts into clear commercial and contractual structures.
Strong commercial negotiation experience and confidence managing external counterparties.
Experience supporting project or portfolio financing.
