We're working with an award-winning London SaaS technology company that's making AI central to how it builds software. They're looking to hire two AI Engineers to join a newly formed product team building production-grade AI applications from the ground up. This is a genuinely hands-on engineering role for people who have already delivered commercial AI systems - not research projects or side projects. You'll join a high-trust environment where you'll own products end-to-end, move quickly, and help shape the future of AI-powered software.

The Role

You'll be responsible for designing, building and shipping production AI products that deliver measurable value to customers. You'll:

  • Build and deploy production AI applications and autonomous agents
  • Own projects from system design through to deployment and iteration
  • Work with LLM APIs, agent frameworks and RAG architectures
  • Use modern AI-assisted and agentic development workflows
  • Design scalable, cloud-native systems (AWS)
  • Make architectural decisions and drive engineering best practice
  • Collaborate closely with product and engineering leadership to deliver new AI capabilities

What They're Looking For

This role is aimed at strong software engineers who have moved into AI, rather than researchers. You'll ideally have:

  • 5 years of commercial software engineering experience
  • A strong engineering background with excellent software design and architecture skills
  • Experience shipping production AI or LLM-powered products in a commercial environment
  • Experience with LLM APIs, orchestration frameworks, AI agents and/or RAG
  • Experience building cloud-native applications (AWS preferred)
  • A product mindset and the ability to balance speed with engineering quality
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working directly with product stakeholders
  • Financial services experience is a bonus but not required.

Why Join?

  • Build AI products that go into production - not internal demos or prototypes
  • Join an organisation investing heavily in AI across its engineering function
  • High levels of ownership, autonomy and technical influence
  • Modern engineering environment embracing AI-native development practices
  • Small, collaborative team with the opportunity to shape products from day one
  • Up to £120,000 salary, discretionary bonus, private healthcare, pension and hybrid working (just 1 day in the office every two weeks).

If you're an experienced software engineer with commercial AI delivery experience and want to help build the next generation of AI-native products, I'd be keen to speak with you.
