PMO Lead - Contract in Nottingham

PMO Lead | Contract | £400 per day | Inside IR35 | North West

SR2 is supporting a client in the insurance sector to appoint an experienced PMO Lead for a major, multi-million-pound transformation programme.

This is an established programme with governance, reporting and processes already in place. We're looking for someone who can take ownership of the day-to-day PMO function, maintain high standards and keep delivery moving.

You'll work closely with senior programme stakeholders, supported by an existing PMO Analyst. The focus is hands‑on programme controls, effective governance and confident stakeholder management.

The role

• Own and maintain programme reporting, governance and PMO routines.

• Ensure risks, issues, dependencies and actions are accurate, visible and actively managed.

• Prepare clear, reliable reporting for senior stakeholders and programme meetings.

• Challenge constructively, follow up on commitments and escalaté issues early.

• Maintain established processes and ensure the PMO operates consistently and effectively.

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience as a PMO Lead or PMO Manager on complex programmes.

• Financial services experience relevant.

• Excellent attention to detail across reporting, governance and programme controls.

• Confidence working with senior stakeholders and managing difficult conversations professionally.

• A proactive, commercially aware approach and the ability to contribute with minimal direction.

• A hands‑on PMO specialist comfortable taking ownership within an established programme.

Contract details

• Rate: £400 per day.

• IR35: Inside.

• Location: North West.

• Hybrid working: Two days per week onsite, with the remaining days remote.

• Start: ASAP.

Interviews are expected to move quickly through a two-stage process.
