Technical Delivery Manager
A Technical Delivery Manager is required to coordinate the delivery of a complex digital engineering programme.

The Role
You will work across software engineering teams to turn programme priorities into structured, achievable packages of work.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate short-term engineering activity and ensure development teams have a clear, prioritised pipeline of work.
- Chair team sessions covering delivery commitments, work preparation, progress reviews and lessons learned.
- Convert technical requirements and discussions into actionable tasks with measurable completion conditions.
- Identify obstacles and inter-team dependencies, agreeing clear actions and owners to keep delivery moving.
- Monitor delivery performance, upcoming milestones and available team capacity, escalating concerns where appropriate.
- Provide concise reporting to programme leadership on progress, delivery forecasts, changing priorities and key risks.
Essential Experience
- Previous experience leading delivery within multidisciplinary software engineering teams.
- A strong working knowledge of iterative delivery methods, including Scrum and broader Agile practices.
- Extensive use of Jira to organise engineering workloads, maintain roadmaps and monitor delivery performance.
- Ability to work with technical specialists to break down requirements, assess complexity and agree achievable commitments.
- Experience preparing and improving development backlogs so teams can begin work with minimal ambiguity.
- Good understanding of delivery measures, forecasting, team capacity and milestone tracking.
- Strong facilitation skills with the confidence to challenge, resolve issues and maintain accountability.
- Experience coordinating activity and dependencies across several technical teams or workstreams.
