I'm working with a high growth and genuinely innovative AI technology business that is looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join its growing engineering team. This is a company where engineering isn't a support function. Technology is the product. They are building an AI powered platform that processes huge volumes of commercial, corporate and open source data, turning complex information into intelligence for organisations operating across areas such as financial services, legal, risk and enterprise.
As a Platform Engineer, you'll play a key role in building and evolving the infrastructure and platform capabilities that underpin a sophisticated, AI first product. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of software engineering, cloud infrastructure and automation rather than sitting purely within a traditional DevOps function.
What you'll be doing:
- Designing, building and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure and platform services;
- Building automation around infrastructure, deployment and operational processes;
- Developing and improving CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes;
- Helping establish strong observability, monitoring and operational practices;
- Working on infrastructure that supports data intensive and AI powered workloads;
- Contributing to technical architecture and platform engineering decisions.
What I'm looking for:
- A strong background in Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE or Cloud Engineering who enjoys solving complex infrastructure problems.
- Strong GCP Experience and AWS.
- Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform experience.
- Kubernetes / containerised environments.
- CI/CD and deployment automation knowledge.
- Monitoring, observability and production troubleshooting.
- Building reliable and scalable production platforms.
- Experience supporting data platforms, AI/ML workloads or high-volume.
We're also looking for someone who goes beyond simply keeping infrastructure running, someone who thinks about how platforms should be designed, automated and continuously improved.
