We are supporting a major UK government programme delivering secure, resilient communications infrastructure for the emergency services and are seeking an experienced Information & Cyber Security Manager to support its Security Operations function. You will work across suppliers, systems integration partners and programme teams to provide security assurance, strengthen operational security processes and support the development of an end-to-end Security Operations Centre.
Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day security operations, including incident response planning, vulnerability management and threat monitoring
- Work with suppliers to ensure security deliverables meet contractual and programme requirements
- Support the design and development of an end-to-end Security Operations Centre
- Review and maintain security procedures, incident playbooks and reporting mechanisms
- Lead and contribute to security governance forums
- Advise stakeholders on security risks, mitigations and incident handling
- Support security investigations involving government and emergency service stakeholders
- Contribute to strategic security objectives and continuous improvement initiatives
Key Experience
- Active SC clearance
- Strong experience in cyber or information security operations within complex programmes or critical national infrastructure
- Proven experience of cyber incident response and vulnerability management
- Strong knowledge of UK government security standards, NCSC guidance and security risk management frameworks
- Experience working across multi-supplier or systems integration environments
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities within a high-pressure operational environment
- Telecoms, emergency services, cloud security or modern threat-detection experience would be advantageous
