We're supporting a leading consultancy on an AI transformation programme for a major end client, standing up a new AI Centre of Excellence. We're looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead the architectural and operating model thinking behind the build.
This isn't a technical AI build role. It's a strategic, cross-business position for someone who can operate holistically across a large organisation, understand where AI genuinely creates value, and translate that into an operating model and architecture the business can actually run.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading enterprise and business architecture input into the design of a new AI Centre of Excellence
- Working across the business to identify where AI can create genuine commercial or operational value, not just where it's technically possible
- Shaping the target operating model for how AI capability will be governed, resourced and scaled across the organisation
- Engaging directly with a range of C-suite stakeholders at the end client to align architecture decisions with business strategy
- Bridging strategic intent and practical delivery, working closely with technical and AI specialist teams without needing to be the deepest technical voice in the room
What we're looking for:
- Strong enterprise architecture background, ideally at Architect or Principal Architect level
- Deep understanding of operating models and business architecture, not just technology architecture
- Proven ability to work holistically across a large, complex organisation, connecting strategy, operating model and technology
- Comfortable operating at C-suite level, translating complex architectural thinking into language the business understands
- Some understanding of AI is useful, particularly applied or live use cases, but this is secondary to a genuinely strong architecture background
- Consulting background preferred, comfortable embedding into a client's environment from day one
The details:
- Architect level, day rate outside IR35
- London, hybrid
- Initial 6 month engagement, likely to extend
- ASAP start
