We are supporting an NHS trust with a short-term engagement and are seeking an experienced Data Strategy Lead to support an in-flight piece of work on a fully remote basis. This role will focus on consolidating disparate data assets and developing a clear, pragmatic data roadmap and strategy, building on the outputs of an initial scoping and discovery phase. The successful candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders to shape recommendations that are actionable and aligned to organisational priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the consolidation and rationalisation of existing data sources and datasets
- Develop a clear data strategy and roadmap in response to findings from a recent discovery exercise
- Advise on data governance, ownership, and lineage considerations
- Engage with senior clinical, operational, and digital stakeholders to validate findings and agree next steps
- Provide concise, strategic outputs suitable for executive-level decision making
Experience Required
- Strong NHS background, ideally working at Trust or system level
- 5+ years' experience in senior data roles, with a focus on data strategy, governance, and data architecture/lineage
- Exposure to Microsoft Fabric and the wider Microsoft data platform (advantageous)
- Consulting or advisory experience (advantageous)
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
