Business Analyst | Outside IR35
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support a complex digital archiving programme within a highly regulated public sector environment.
You will work across operational, technical and compliance teams to understand existing processes, assess the impact of change and translate detailed findings into practical recommendations.
The Role
You will help shape how regulated information and legacy data are managed, ensuring future processes meet operational, technical and governance requirements.
This will involve facilitating workshops, reviewing existing procedures and maintaining a clear view of requirements, risks, decisions and dependencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage stakeholders to understand business needs, current processes and existing ways of working.
- Facilitate workshops involving operational, technical, compliance and subject-matter experts.
- Review Standard Operating Procedures, identifying gaps, risks and areas requiring amendment.
- Lead change impact assessments covering processes, responsibilities, training and governance.
- Refine business and non-functional requirements alongside technical and regulatory specialists.
- Document process and data risks, recommending proportionate approaches for legacy and business-as-usual data.
- Support service and process design, including user journeys, manual activities and exception scenarios.
- Contribute to programme reporting, formal deliverables and effective knowledge transfer.
Essential Experience
- Strong Business Analysis experience gained within complex technology or transformation programmes.
- Proven capability across requirements gathering, process analysis and change impact assessment.
- Experience facilitating workshops and engaging stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Ability to interpret complex business and technical information and turn it into clear, actionable documentation.
- Experience working within regulated, controlled or highly governed environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and written communication skills.
Desirable
- Knowledge of Gx P standards, data integrity or system validation.
- Experience within healthcare, life sciences, pharmaceuticals or another regulated data environment.
- Previous involvement in electronic archiving, records management or legacy data programmes.
- Experience contributing to discovery or Alpha-phase assessments and reports.
