I am recruiting for an experienced Manual QA Tester to join my client in central Bristol (2 days a week in the office). They are an incredible tech for good startup using AI to build tools that make life easier for people who need additional support. The product is meaningful, impactful, and something you will genuinely feel proud to be part of.

This is a 6 month fixed term contract opportunity (where you will be paid a salary that is pro rata'd down). You will be joining a small but perfectly formed team and will play a really important role within the team, taking ownership of manual testing activities and helping create space for their developers and an Automation Tester soon to start, to focus on automation for the next 6 months.

There is already a QA foundation in place from a previous tester, with established processes and testing practices to build upon. You will be responsible for hands on manual testing across web and native mobile applications. You will work closely with developers, product and the wider team to identify issues early, execute thorough test plans, perform manual testing and help ensure a smooth user experience across multiple platforms.

This role would suit someone who enjoys getting into the detail, has strong investigative skills and takes real pride in delivering quality products. As the business moves towards becoming a medical device company, quality and process are becoming increasingly important as they have set processes they need to follow, so the great news is there is no start up chaos!

The ideal person will have strong experience in manual software testing across web and mobile. You will be confident working independently, comfortable taking ownership of your work and naturally curious, with an eye for detail and a genuine enjoyment of finding and understanding issues.
