We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join a fast-moving digital delivery environment on a contract basis. This position is centred around building and shaping cloud infrastructure for a variety of modern software projects, working closely with engineering and delivery teams throughout the full lifecycle.
You'll be expected to contribute to technical discussions, collaborate with stakeholders across delivery functions and support production-grade systems in a client-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities- Designing scalable cloud infrastructure solutions within AWS
- Building and maintaining infrastructure using Terraform and IaC principles
- Developing reliable CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
- Supporting automation and release processes across multiple environments
- Working with GitHub Actions and other delivery tooling
- Contributing to infrastructure strategy and technical decision-making
- Collaborating with developers, project teams and technical stakeholders
- Supporting production systems and ongoing platform improvements
- Participating in technical workshops and client-facing conversations where required
- Driving pragmatic, delivery-focused engineering outcomes
- Strong commercial AWS experience
- Proven Terraform and infrastructure as code expertise
- Experience designing cloud environments and infrastructure solutions
- Strong understanding of CI/CD tooling and delivery pipelines
- GitHub Actions experience
- Experience supporting live production systems
- Good understanding of system architecture and service integration
- Exposure to API-driven and modern software delivery environments
- Comfortable working in stakeholder-facing environments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Delivery-focused and pragmatic approach to engineering
- Comfortable working primarily on a MacBook environment
- Azure / Microsoft suite exposure
- Containerisation
- Monitoring and observability tooling experience
- Previous consultancy, digital agency or client-services experience
- Contract opportunity - 3 months+ - £375-£425p/d
