SR2 Consulting is supporting a number of high-profile central government digital programmes and is seeking experienced User Researchers to join multidisciplinary delivery teams on a contract basis. These roles sit within large-scale transformation initiatives focused on improving digital services used by citizens and internal users across the UK. Successful candidates will play a key role in shaping user-centred services that are accessible, inclusive and aligned with agile delivery principles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, design and conduct user research activities across Discovery, Alpha, Beta and Live phases
  • Select and apply appropriate qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Work collaboratively within agile, multidisciplinary teams including Product, Design and Engineering
  • Synthesize research findings into clear, actionable insights
  • Communicate evidence effectively to stakeholders at all levels, influencing product and service decisions
  • Champion accessibility and inclusive design principles throughout the research process
Essential Experience
  • Proven experience delivering end-to-end user research within digital service environments
  • Experience working in agile teams on iterative product or service development
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Demonstrable understanding of inclusive research practices and accessibility standards
Desirable
  • Experience working within UK Government or to GDS standards
