An established cloud and platform engineering consultancy is looking for an AWS Senior Platform Engineer to help design, build, and operate secure, scalable cloud platforms for a range of public and private sector clients.

You’ll work hands-on across modern AWS environments, partnering closely with engineering teams to improve developer experience, reliability, and security. This is a great role for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, influencing technical direction, and mentoring others while remaining deeply technical.

The Role

  • Designing and operating AWS-based platform components
  • Building infrastructure using Terraform
  • Improving and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Supporting containerised workloads using Kubernetes/EKS
  • Enabling cloud-native patterns with application teams
  • Implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting
  • Creating reusable templates and platform patterns
  • Contributing to platform reliability, scalability, and security
  • Mentoring and sharing knowledge across teams

About You

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS platform engineering
  • Solid IaC experience (Terraform essential; CDK/CloudFormation a bonus)
  • Experience with Kubernetes and container platforms
  • Good understanding of DevOps and CI/CD practices
  • AWS networking knowledge (VPCs, load balancing, connectivity)
  • Comfortable working in client-facing or consulting environments
  • Clear communicator with a pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset
  • Experience within public sector or central government
