Our client, a digital consultancy with a long track record in UK government, is building a new shared intranet for two large national public sector organisations. The project merges content from their two current intranets into a single site with a new information architecture.
The role
You'll own the product vision and backlog for the new intranet, making sure it works for staff in both organisations.
- Own and prioritise the backlog, writing clear user stories and acceptance criteria
- Turn the needs of staff and stakeholders in both organisations into one product vision and roadmap
- Work with user research, content design and IA to shape the new information architecture
- Make the calls on content: what moves across, what merges and what's retired
- Build agreement between stakeholders in both organisations with different priorities
- Set how success is measured, such as findability and task completion
- Work with the Delivery Lead on scope, roadmap and releases
What you'll bring
- Product owner or product manager experience on website development projects
- UK government digital project experience, working to the GDS Service Standard and agile ways of working
- Strong backlog management and prioritisation
- Using user research and data to make product decisions
- Senior stakeholder management, including building consensus across organisations
Nice to have
- Intranet, internal communications or content-heavy website projects
- Information architecture or content strategy experience
