We are looking for an experienced Power BI / Tableau Report Developer to join a financial services organisation on a contract basis. This role will focus on designing, developing and enhancing analytical dashboards and reporting solutions using large-scale, complex financial services datasets. Previous experience working within financial services is essential for this position. Candidates without financial services experience will not be considered.
As a Power BI / Tableau Report Developer, you will be responsible for building and enhancing user-focused reporting and visualisation solutions using Power BI and Tableau. You will work directly with stakeholders to understand requirements, gather feedback and continuously improve reporting outputs across complex financial datasets.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Designing, developing and maintaining Power BI and Tableau dashboards and reports
- Building management information solutions across large-scale financial services datasets
- Translating business requirements into effective visualisations and reporting solutions
- Working directly with stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback
- Continuously improving existing dashboards, reports and reporting capabilities
- Integrating multiple data sources for reporting and visualisation
- Identifying and supporting the resolution of data quality issues affecting reporting outputs
Essential Experience
- Previous financial services experience - essential
- 3+ years' experience developing Power BI and/or Tableau dashboards and reporting solutions
- Strong Power BI and/or Tableau skills
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets
- Experience with AWS services such as S3, Athena and DynamoDB
- Experience integrating multiple data sources for reporting and visualisation
- Strong stakeholder engagement and requirements-gathering skills
- The ability to work independently and take ownership of reporting solutions
Experience within wealth and asset management would be particularly valuable, alongside exposure to funds, holdings, transactions, legal entity or regulatory reporting data.
