We are recruiting an experienced Data Lead to manage a team of three analysts supporting a major funds data programme within financial services.

The role will oversee data analysis, Power BI dashboard development and analytical reporting across large, multi-source datasets, ensuring complex information is translated into clear business insight and supports data-driven decision-making.

  • Role responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of three analysts delivering data analysis, dashboard development and reporting activities.
  • Oversee the development and refinement of Power BI and Tableau dashboards, management information and analytical outputs.
  • Analyse complex financial services datasets, including holdings, transactions, legal entities and regulatory reporting data.
  • Guide the creation of integrated views of firms and entities using information from multiple data sources.
  • Ensure analysis identifies relevant trends, concentrations, anomalies and potential risks.
  • Improve data quality through validation, controls, data enrichment and ongoing assurance activities.
  • Engage senior stakeholders to understand requirements, gather feedback and prioritise team activity.
  • Key experience and requirements
  • Strong Power BI experience, including overseeing the development and refinement of dashboards, management information and analytical reporting solutions.
  • At least five years' experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting or a related data role.
  • Previous experience working with complex datasets within financial services is essential.
  • Proven experience leading a small data or analytics team and delivering solutions within complex environments.
  • Strong SQL and data-analysis skills across large, multi-source datasets.
  • Experience using Tableau alongside Power BI would be beneficial.
  • Familiarity with AWS services such as S3, Athena and Dynamo DB.
  • Strong senior stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to communicate complex analysis clearly.
