We are looking for a reliable, hard working ad versatile Stores, Logistics & General Operative to join our team within our busy fire and security business. This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys being kept busy and is happy to take on a range of responsibilities across our stores, vehicles, engineers and office operations.
The Role
Your day-to-day duties will include: - Managing and maintaining company storeroom - Receiving, checking and organising deliveries - Preparing parts and equipment for engineers - Collecting and delivering parts and equipment to engineers and suppliers - Driving company vans as required - Taking company vehicles for MOTs, servicing, repairs and inspections - Loading and unloading materials - General stock control and keeping the stores organised - General labouring and manual handing duties - Keeping the yard, stores and surrounding areas clean and tidy - Supporting engineers and other members of the team as required The Ideal Candidate - Reliable, punctual and hard working - Organised with good attention to detail - Comfortable working independently and as part of a team - Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual work - Confident and responsible driver - Flexible and willing to get involved in a variety of tasks - Able to use their own initiative and manage their work load A full UK driving license is essential as the role involves driving company vehicles and carrying out collections and deliveries.
