Squirrel is partnering with a fast-growing, well-funded startup at the forefront of automating Finance Operations. They are building Computer Agents that automate repetitive Finance workflows, allowing organisations to streamline processes without changing their existing Finance systems. As an early team member, you will have a direct impact on shaping the product, culture, and company direction from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the CTO to design, build, and deploy new features for the Computer Agents platform
- Take ownership of end-to-end product development, from ideation to release
- Work directly with users to gather feedback and iterate rapidly on product improvements
- Contribute to technical decision-making and help define the product roadmap
- Ensure high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code across the stack
- Participate in shaping company culture and engineering best practices
Qualifications
Required:
- 3-5 years of experience building and shipping production software (full-stack or backend)
- Strong programming skills in at least one modern language (e.g., Python, TypeScript, JavaScript)
- Ability to thrive in early-stage, fast-paced, and high-uncertainty environments
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated curiosity and drive to learn through experimentation
Preferred:
- Familiarity with tech stack: Next.js, React, TypeScript, Python, FastAPI, Postgres, Redis
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP)
- Exposure to or experience with foundation models or Generative AI (LLMs, RAG, fine-tuning, agents, evals, AI IDE, etc.)
- Experience working directly with users to iterate on products
