Manager, Corporate Secretarial and Governance Services – Grand Cayman (relocation required)
We are searching for a qualified (ideally Chartered) Company Secretary/Governance Professional who would have interest in relocating to join our Cayman-based, Corporate Service Provider client in a Management role.
This will be an excellent opportunity for the right person, who is able to relocate, to gain offshore experience with a well-established firm providing company administration, trust management, governance and regulatory services.
Select responsibilities will include:
- Corporate Secretarial, Governance and Operational duties, while assisting the Director in leading and managing the department.
- Lead a small team of Corporate Administrators and oversee the management of a portfolio of Cayman regulated entities, building and managing relationships with clients and other stakeholders of funds.
- Draft/review precedents and template documents, provide thought leadership on recent developments, industry trends and innovation.
- Work closely with the wider Corporate and Governance Services team to process client instructions, identify key knowledge needs and assist in developing tailored resources.
- Liaise with the AML regulatory services team to ensure timely and accurate regulatory filings and BOD reporting.
- Follow up on any issues raised at BOD meetings, regular interaction with clients to provide updates on regulatory and market trends/changes.
- Establish and maintain systems for managing precedents and template documents to ensure consistency and compliance with best practices.
- Develop, maintain and update the corporate knowledge database, implement improvements, liaise with the IT committee to evaluate technology solutions, train team members and provide ongoing support to ensure optimal usage of internal tools.
We are looking for the following:
- At least 10 years of experience in a Corporate Secretary function, preferably within a large financial services or law firm environment.
- Relevant professional qualification – ideally from The Chartered Governance Institute
- Solid resolution drafting background combined with the ability to interpret and critically assess client instructions, processing in line with service agreements.
- Experience leading and training a team of Corporate Administrators in their day-to-day administration of corporate and registered office clients.
- Demonstrated experience managing process changes to streamline productivity.
- Highly client focused, with commitment to taking ownership for delivery and exceeding client expectations
This is a full-time position that requires the successful candidate to be based on-site in Grand Cayman. Due to the international move involved, preferred candidates will be able to relocate relatively easily and be motivated to experience the superb living and working environment that Cayman has to offer.
