Your primary responsibility will be to provide management support to one of our award-winning Garden Centres. Working closely with the Operations Manager to help the business to succeed.
Responsibilities
- Generate new ideas for building sales and profit and communicate them effectively to teams
- Ensure excellence of customer service is achieved throughout the centre
- Work closely and effectively with product managers to ensure purchasing is within the company product range
- Participate constructively in all management meetings
- Maintain excellent standards of merchandising and housekeeping in accordance with company guidelines
- Work closely with Product Managers as part of the annual range review process
- Understand the business plan and actively participate in delivering its goals
- Create performance monitors for product, service and people performance and review them regularly
- Appropriately plan and utilise department resources to achieve targets
Qualifications
- Proven experience of working in a similar role within a retail environment is essential
- Organised, self-disciplined with a positive, collaborative attitude
- Knowledge of plant and sundries is essential
