Our Team
You will be supporting the Financial Services practice group providing secretarial and administration support. You’ll be reporting into the London office Secretarial Services Manager and will be working alongside Partners and Associates and other Secretaries. Occasionally you may be expected to provide support to other teams as and when required.
Our Opportunity
This role would be ideal for someone who is an experienced legal secretary, preferably in Financial Services/Banking, who has some experience in supporting at partner level and is ready to progress their career. You’ll be involved in heavy and complex billing tasks and reports, to include finalising and sending out bills, client and matter inceptions and understanding KYC requirements. Diary management, event support and dealing with international travel form part of this role.
You must have a positive and professional approach at all times and work efficiently in a very busy team.
You
As this is a varied role, you’ll need to be an organised, proactive individual who can easily prioritise and juggle workloads. You’ll need to have the flexibility to assist other departments when required. You should also be able to use your initiative and spot where help is needed with limited supervision.
You’ll also have experience of complex billing, client inceptions and working in a law firm, preferably with Financial Services/Banking experience. Knowledge of Aderant is preferable. You should demonstrate experience of working with multi‑jurisdictional teams and be familiar with time zones.
As you will be dealing with clients of the firm, a positive, can‑do and proactive attitude is required whilst portraying a professional image towards the client and the firm. Ideally you’ll have good knowledge of all Microsoft packages along with strong keyboard skills.
You will need to have experience of working at secretary/PA level within a professional service firm.
