We\’re looking for an Associate to join our highly successful Financial Services team in our Manchester office. This is an exciting time to join SPB, as we continue to grow our national banking and finance practice.

Our Team
Our leading Financial Services practice has proven strength through its global presence and breadth of cross-border financing and collateral expertise. From our offices throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia, our banking and finance team members offer the seamless service necessary for both multi-jurisdictional and local clients.
Our practice provides high quality legal and regulatory services to a wide range of participants in the financial services sector, including: financial institutions, capital sources and other financial intermediaries, their investors, suppliers and customers,end-users of financial services (e.g., corporate borrowers) and regulatory authorities.
Our collaborative practice model enables us to serve our clients throughout the life of any financing, from a project\’s inception to its re-financing in advance of corporate disposition or flotation and, if necessary, through its subsequent workout or, in conjunction with our restructuring and insolvency practice, insolvency or secured party disposition.

You\’ll have the opportunity to get involved in a varied workload with plenty of scope for direct client contact. The role will suit an outstanding lawyer with a commercial attitude along with a confident and proactive approach, with good people skills, the ability to work as a team player and evidence of ability to network.

Ideally, we\’re looking for someone with between 2 – 4 years\’ post-qualification experience. You\’ll be coming from a Banking team at a strong regional, national or international practice and will have strong academics. You\’ll be motivated and eager to develop long-lasting relationships. Our associates work closely with our clients and other advisors so good communication skills are essential.
