Responsible for leading the producer team under their project remit and overseeing project success in line with business goals and quality objectives. Contributing to overall production management operations at Journey. This is a partnership with an Executive Creative Director to ensure team KPIs are met.

Main Responsibilities

  • Clients & Delivery
    • Oversee Producers across multiple complex projects across a wide range of delivery techniques ensuring that good process is followed and project reporting is accurate and timely.
    • Oversee all budgets within your team, focusing on delivering healthy margins and managing scope creep.
    • Guide your team to develop meaningful client relationships, including through effective communication, project management and meeting delivery and quality objectives.
    • Negotiate contracts independently and balance risk appropriately for the business.
    • Solve problems before they arise; identify potential risks to the business/projects and take preemptive actions to mitigate.
    • Serve as the final check/gatekeeper for all deliverables, including writing and editing communications as needed.
  • Business Development
    • Own creative pitch briefs, attend pitch briefings and guide on scoping, pricing and structure where necessary.
    • Allocate appropriate team member to work on the pitch and review response ensuring appropriate to business objectives and project scope.
    • Present the project to clients in pitches or support others in doing so.
  • Leadership
    • Mentor producers and their development within projects and production teams.
    • Maintain consistency over the management of all projects and lead regular reviews alongside ECD ensuring client objectives are met balanced with creative requirements.
    • Evaluate the current status of the industry and the market to ensure delivery of relevant and useful products, messages or branding.
    • Anticipate the future direction of the industry using both research and own insight.
  • HR
    • Line manage senior & Mid Level Producers, nurturing their career trajectories.
    • Lead performance reviews of their direct reports.
    • Ensure continued professional development / training of team members.
    • Act as hiring manager for all Senior Producers within the team, identifying requirements, agreeing job descriptions and advertisements and participating in interviews and selection process.
    • Participate in the interview and selection process for all junior and mid level Producer hires.
    • Serve as a role model and mentor within Squint and externally; participate in knowledge shares, actively improve Squint’s process, deliver thought leadership.

Qualification/ Experience

  • 5+ years of account management experience.
  • Proven success launching large scale campaigns or experiential projects.
  • Interest in all aspects of the production cycle.
