Our probate case load is growing. Not because we chase volume, but because families trust us. We are looking for a Probate Administrator to join our Evegate office and support the administration of estates. This role sits within our probate team and will involve assisting with estate administration and helping ensure files progress smoothly and efficiently. You will be working alongside a case handler and our panel of SRA regulated solicitors who deal with the Grant of Probate. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who already has some experience in probate or legal administration and wants to develop further within a growing probate service.
The Role
You will support the administration of estates from instruction through to completion. Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting probate case handler with estate administration
- Corresponding with banks, investment managers and institutions
- Helping gather information on assets and liabilities
- Preparing documents and assisting with estate accounts
- Communicating with executors and beneficiaries
- Maintaining organised, compliant and audit-ready files
- General administration to support the probate team
About You
Ideally you will have:
- Some experience in probate, private client or legal administration but not essential
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confidence speaking with clients in sensitive situations
- Good IT skills and comfort using case management systems
Most importantly, you will be someone who:
- Takes pride in doing things properly
- Is organised and reliable
- Understands that probate is about people as much as paperwork
- Is keen to learn and develop within the role
