About Squiggle Consult

We're an estate planning company on a mission to make a difficult subject feel simple, calm and human. We help ordinary families protect what matters most: their homes, their savings and the people they love, through Wills, Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Probate.

We cut out the legal jargon and explain things in plain English, and we bring that same straight-talking, people-first attitude to how we run the place. We're a certified B Corp, which means we're independently assessed on how we treat our people, our clients and our community. We're growing fast, and we're proud of the team we've built. If you like the idea of doing meaningful work in a friendly, down-to-earth office, read on.

The role

Behind every well-looked-after client is a pile of paperwork that has to be exactly right. That's where you come in.

As our Junior Legal Administrator, you'll be the person who makes sure our legal documents are accurate, organised and properly recorded. It's careful, detailed work, and it really matters, because getting it right protects our clients and their families. We'll give you full training, so you don't need legal experience. You just need to be reliable, organised and happy working through a checklist until everything's spot on.

What you'll be doing

  • Opening, sorting and cataloguing incoming post, and making sure it reaches the right place
  • Scanning and photocopying legal paperwork, and saving documents accurately to the right client files
  • Cross-referencing documents against our checklists to make sure everything is complete and correct before it goes out
  • Spotting missing or incorrect information and flagging it so it gets fixed
  • Updating and maintaining our CRM so client records are always accurate and up to date
  • Sending documents and emails to clients, and helping keep them informed at each step
  • Liaising with bodies such as Land Registry and the Office of the Public Guardian
  • Chasing outstanding information from our estate planning consultants to keep cases moving
  • Helping with general administration to support the wider team

What we're looking for

  • A sharp eye for detail. You notice when something doesn't look right
  • Well organised, with the ability to juggle several tasks and prioritise your workload
  • Comfortable with computers and quick to pick up new systems (full training on ours provided)
  • Clear, friendly communication, both written and verbal
  • A proactive attitude. You don't just spot problems, you help sort them
  • Trustworthy and discreet. You'll handle confidential client information with care and in line with our data protection obligations

No previous legal experience needed. If you're reliable, conscientious and keen to learn, we'll teach you the rest.

Why Squiggle Consult?

  • Room to grow. As we grow, we want you to grow with us, with genuine scope to develop your role and your career here.
