A quick heads up before you read on.
We’re advertising two versions of this role: Paid Media Manager and Senior Paid Media Manager.
Same chair, two levels.
We’ve done it this way because we’re hiring for experience and aptitude, not just a title.
If a genuinely great senior person came along, we wanted to make sure we’d hear from them rather than scare them off with the wrong title.
This is the
Senior version.
If you’re ready to own strategy and be a senior voice in client relationships, read on.
If you’re between the two, apply for whichever feels closest and tell us why in your cover letter.
We’d rather you put yourself forward than rule yourself out.
The Role
Day to day, you’ll
- Own the comprehensive paid media strategy across your clients, ensuring tactics are effective for the situation and resource available, and that everything joins up with our other services.
- Take ownership of performance.
Consistently deliver substantial, measurable client improvements by monitoring channel performance and guiding tactical adjustments through a mix of investigation and experience.
- Own client reporting at a service level, delivering digestible, meaningful commentary, and own the delivery of quarterly strategy so clients understand exactly how their resource is being allocated and the impact we expect from it.
- Lead the team in communicating frequently and effectively, building client relationships founded on trust and demonstrated competence, and own client onboarding for the channel.
- Take charge of service development for paid media, covering internal processes, implementation, and performance measurement, and champion its integration at both channel and agency level.
- Lead the cultivation of paid media knowledge across the service team, owning how it’s developed, implemented, and measured.
- Take ownership of new business requests from the Head of Growth, developing transparent, data-informed responses, and supporting them with case studies, insights, and authoritative content.
- Own client resource allocation across the channel, including distribution, monitoring and impact, and facilitate cross-service integration so insights and resources are genuinely shared.
About You
- You don’t wait to be told.
You’ll own a problem, work it out, and bring a solution, because you’re a forward thinking, proactive person who leads with initiative rather than waiting for it.
- You’re about the team wins, not the individual accolades, but you’re also driven by the numbers.
- You’re ready to be a senior voice in client partnerships, not just a contributor to them.
- You like to test out new tactics, platforms or approaches, even if they aren’t proven.
We aren’t afraid of a little trial and error, and as a senior you’ll be the one deciding when a bet is worth making.
- You’re a highly proactive individual with a strong sense of ownership and the confidence to guide others.
- You have excellent attention to detail and analytical/communication skills.
- You’ve got a get stuff done attitude and like to just give things a go.
- The Fine Print
- At least 4-5 years experience in PPC & Paid Social, with a proven track record of owning client strategy and delivering against objectives in an agency environment.
- Real world experience leading client relationships and acting as a senior point of contact, not just executing campaigns set by someone else.
- A strong, demonstrable command of the major platforms: Google, Bing, Meta Business Manager, Linked In Ads, Pinterest, Tik Tok and the rest.
- Facebook Blueprint Certification would be a bonus (but not required).
- Salary between £34,000 – £42,000 depending on what you can bring to the table. We also annually review salaries. The idea is we grow, you grow.
- Hybrid/blended working.
Our office is in central Newcastle, and we split our time 3 days in the office and 2 from home, with a daily flexible working policy built around core hours.
- 26 days holiday plus bank holidays, because you like to work hard but also play hard.
