Position Overview: Squarepoint has a newly created role for an experienced payroll accountant to join their growing management company accounting team.
- Review payroll across numerous countries to verify correct base, bonus and severance payouts
- Reconcile payroll files to the JE provided by the payroll vendor
- Reconcile payroll liability account to the bank and to the vendors’ books
- Participate in all monthly accounting activities including month-end closing, A/R, A/P, account reconciliations, allocations schedules and intercompany transactions
- Coordinate with third party tax and auditor professionals in completing yearly tax returns and audits, both under US GAAP and under local reporting standards
- Participate in various ad-hoc requests from senior management and other departments
Required Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in payroll accounting, payroll reconciliation or within a payroll service provider
- Exceptional analytical & communication skills
- Ability to multitask & strong attention to detail
- Highly organized, self-motivated & team-oriented
- Strong excel knowledge and ability to analyse data using PIVOTs, VLOOKUPs and sumifs
Nice to have:
- Workday Financials knowledge/experience
- Knowledge of ADP as payroll vendor and UK payroll specifics
