Position Overview:

We are looking for an Accountant to join the Finance Team, responsible for physical metals trading division. Prior experience in accounting or finance with a commodity trading firm trading physical metals is a must. The analyst will be responsible for day-to-day financial operations of the division, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial reporting and compliance with accounting principles and regulations.

As a multinational corporation, the company requires the candidate to have excellent communication skill to coordinate with colleagues stationed in different locations and work considering different time zones.

  • Manage in division\’s day-to-day financial operations for physical metals trading division. Collaborate with colleagues from the broader finance department and liaise with other relevant parties within the organization.
  • Manage the month-end closing procedures of the division. Prepare monthly management account, balance sheet schedules and conduct monthly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
  • Prepare consolidated/stand-alone financial statements for the division under US GAAP, IFRS and local reporting standards, in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Coordinate with external fund accounting team for monthly NAV reports and related schedules.
  • Participate in various ad-hoc requests from controller and other departments.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor\’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field,
  • Accredited accounting qualification CPA, ACCA or equivalent would be a plus
  • 5 to 10 years of finance and accounting experience; experience with a commodity trading firm trading physical metals is a must
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, including US GAAP and IFRS.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software and financial management systems. Workday Financials are a plus.
  • Proficient in Excel and adept at using technology.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
