CAD Design EngineerPurpose: Working as part of a busy and innovative Design team to meet ever evolving customer requirements. Tailoring existing product ranges as well as developing bespoke products to a high standard and within tight lead-times.A great team and business to work within. Job Description
Hours:Monday to Friday, with a 2.30pm finish on Friday

Key Responsibilities and Duties;
- Work on collaborative projectswith Sales Managers and Architects using 2D and 3D CAD to engineer solutions.
- Administrate drawing officeprocedures such as drawing modifications, product introduction, and documentcontrol.
- Produce clear and conciseEngineering drawings and specifications (Metal fabrications, machinedcomponents and sub assemblies).
- Design, develop, source andtest prototypes before releasing to production.
- Identify and select materialsneeded for production.
- Prepare new product quotationsbased on standard product ranges.
Knowledgeand Experience
- Ideally qualified to HNC level in a design or engineering discipline.
- Experience with modern materials and manufacturing techniques.
- Use and understanding of design software, ideally Solid Works, Auto Cad.
- Experience in manufacturing/production beneficial.
- Disciplined in carrying out procedures
- Excellent communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Proven problem solving skills
- Ability to understand the wider business picture
