Workday Finance Reporting Consultant

Contract - 6 Months
Workday Reporting consultant needed across Workday financial and management reporting. This is a hands-on role combining Workday report development, technical problem-solving, stakeholder engagement and reporting best practice.
Job Responsibilities/Objectives:
- Investigate complex reporting problems, identifying issues relating to data, security, business objects or report performance.
- Develop and maintain sophisticated calculated fields to support financial reporting, KPIs and management information.
- Partner with Finance stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and turn them into practical Workday solutions.
- Review and improve existing reports, identifying opportunities to enhance usability, accuracy and performance.
- Establish consistent approaches to report design, documentation, naming, ownership and ongoing maintenance.
- Support the testing, validation and release of new reporting solutions.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Excellent understanding of Workday business objects, data structures and reporting relationships.
- Good understanding of Workday reporting security, including domains, role-based access and reporting restrictions.
- Confident communicating with Finance stakeholders and explaining technical reporting concepts clearly.
- Experience creating reporting documentation, standards and repeatable processes.
- Ability to provide training, coaching and knowledge transfer to business users.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Power BI, Tableau or similar BI/data visualisation experience.
- Practical SQL and DAX knowledge.
- Experience working with Workday data integrations or wider analytics platforms.
- Experience improving reporting governance or establishing reporting frameworks.
