We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading consultancy clients! They are currently looking for a skilled IT Security Project Manager to join their team in Solihull.
Job Responsibilities/Objectives
You will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of multiple IT Security projects and oversees tasks/actions for developers and testers to ensure specifications are met. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end project delivery, ensuring that security solutions meet the organisations needs whilst adhering to compliance and quality standards.
- End-to-End Project Delivery: Define project scope and develop detailed component-level delivery plans. Oversee technical governance across all delivery phases. Manage RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies).
- Stakeholder Management: Coordinate delivery across internal teams (Security, Network, Infrastructure, Applications). Engage with external suppliers and ensure third-party deliverables meet expectations. Maintain strong communication and reporting lines with key stakeholders.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure delivery aligns with internal IT Security strategy and governance frameworks. Manage project costs and ensure budget adherence. Support handover to IT Security Operations with the required documentation and knowledge transfer.
- Team Collaboration: Act as the bridge between Product, Architecture, and Delivery teams. Motivate and guide cross-functional technical teams under high-pressure scenarios. Foster a delivery-focused, collaborative working environment.
Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Proven experience delivering IT Security or Cybersecurity projects in complex environments.
- Strong understanding of security domains (e.g., identity and access, threat detection, endpoint protection, secure infrastructure).
- Solid project management skills (RAID management, stakeholder engagement, budgeting, reporting).
- Experience working with internal and third-party technical teams.
- Familiarity with security project handover processes to SecOps/SOC.
Desirable Skills/Experience
Although not essential, the following skills are desired by the client:
- Background in infrastructure, network, or application security.
- Understanding of IT governance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO27001, ITIL).
- Experience in regulated or critical national infrastructure environments.
