JIRA Reporting Specialist
Location: Nottingham (Hybrid / Client site as required)
Contract Length: Initial 6 months (likely extension)
Day Rate: £400-420 a day (inside IR35 - depending on experience)
The Role
We are looking for experienced JIRA Reporting Specialists to support a high-demand reporting environment within a large delivery organisation. This role is hands-on and configuration-focused, requiring deep expertise in JIRA reporting, JQL, dashboards, and Confluence-based leadership reporting. While a Scrum Master background is helpful, this is not a delivery facilitation role. The primary focus is on building, configuring, and maintaining robust reporting solutions that provide clear, accurate insights for senior stakeholders. Following an initial 6-8 week setup phase, there will be a high volume of ongoing and ad-hoc reporting requests, requiring strong attention to detail, data quality, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain JIRA dashboards for delivery, performance, risk, and leadership reporting
- Create and manage advanced JQL filters to support custom reports and metrics
- Develop Confluence dashboards for executive and governance reporting, embedding live JIRA reports and charts
- Configure and support custom JIRA reporting plugins (e.g. Custom Charts for JIRA)
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of reporting data
- Respond to ongoing and ad-hoc reporting requests from delivery leads and senior stakeholders
- Translate complex delivery data into clear, actionable insights
- Collaborate with delivery teams, PMO, and leadership to evolve reporting as needs change
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with JIRA reporting and configuration (not just user-level experience)
- Advanced JQL for filters, dashboards, and custom metrics
- Proven experience building Confluence-based dashboards for leadership and governance
- Experience using or configuring custom JIRA reporting/chart plugins
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery metrics (velocity, cycle time, WIP, throughput, commitments)
- Ability to manage high reporting demand in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting insights to senior stakeholders
Desirable
- Scrum Master or Agile Delivery background
- Familiarity with scaled Agile environments (SAFe, LeSS, Nexus)
Why Apply?
- Opportunity to shape and own JIRA and Confluence reporting across a complex organisation
- High visibility role with senior stakeholders
- Likely extension due to sustained reporting demand
