They are currently looking for a skilled Group Financial Controller to join their team on a permanent basis. You will play a pivotal role in the financial stewardship of the organisation. This is a high-impact leadership position, responsible for overseeing the financial control function across the group, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, strengthening internal controls, and supporting strategic decision-making. You will lead and mentor a team of finance professionals and work closely with executive leadership to drive financial integrity and operational efficiency as we scale.
- Lead the group-wide financial reporting process, including monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements
- Oversee statutory reporting, compliance with IFRS, and liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies
- Own the financial control framework; ensure robust internal controls, risk management, and process improvements
- Manage the budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis cycles
- Lead the annual audit process and coordinate with external advisors
- Drive finance transformation initiatives, including systems upgrades and automation projects
- Support M&A activity, including due diligence, integration, and financial structuring
- Partner with the CFO and senior leadership on strategic projects and business performance reviews
- Mentor, develop, and scale the finance team to support business growth
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
- Extensive post-qualified experience, including time in a senior finance leadership role
- Strong technical accounting background, ideally trained in a top-tier audit firm
- Proven ability to manage teams, build processes, and drive financial rigour in a scaling business
- Experience within the fintech, payments, or financial services sector is highly advantageous
- Exposure to regulatory reporting in the UK (FCA or equivalent)
- M&A integration and change management experience
