We are looking for an experienced Cloud Architect to join a fast-paced and innovative team. This role will be instrumental in shaping cloud-based solutions and driving technical strategy across key projects.
Job Responsibilities/Objectives:
As a Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for designing, delivering, and providing leadership on cloud-based solutions while ensuring quality and timely delivery. You will also play a crucial role in guiding technical teams and ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Define, develop, and manage implementation schedules, budgets, and project scope from initiation to completion.
- Provide technical leadership and direction to development teams, ensuring delivery meets architectural and methodology standards.
- Develop and implement release strategies, ensuring processes are efficient and cost-effective.
- Analyse business objectives and recommend solutions aligned with best practice and cloud technologies.
- Coordinate resources, oversee project milestones, and mitigate risks effectively.
- Support and drive end-to-end architecture, ensuring timely delivery of cloud-based solutions.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Strong technical background in Java, back-end development, and cloud architecture (preferably AWS).
- Hands-on experience leading development teams and delivering complex projects through the full lifecycle.
- In-depth understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and architectural best practice.
- Proven ability to define and maintain APIs, microservices, and CI/CD models such as Jenkins pipelines.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Expertise with AWS services including Lambda, DynamoDB, Kinesis, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and X-Ray.
- Experience with event-driven systems and frameworks such as ActiveMQ, Kafka, or AWS Kinesis.
- Knowledge of AWS data pipelines, Glue, S3, Glacier, and data transfer tools such as DataSync.
- Familiarity with containerisation technologies (e.g. Docker) and strong exposure to microservices-based development patterns.
