A leading asset manager is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join their Performance & Attribution function. The successful candidate will play a key role in defining attribution model requirements to support investment desk strategies and enhance the delivery of performance analytics and reporting services. This position requires a strong understanding of investment and asset management environments, hands-on experience in performance and attribution analysis, and proven ability to operate effectively within an Agile delivery team, writing user stories and epics.
Job Responsibilities/Objectives
- Analyse and define performance and attribution model requirements across multiple investment strategies.
- Collaborate with business and technology teams including Performance, Investments, Product, Client Services, and Data functions.
- Produce detailed functional specifications, user stories, and process documentation.
- Present requirements to architecture and development teams to determine appropriate technical solutions.
- Support UAT to ensure test coverage accurately reflects business needs (using Jira).
- Contribute to business cases and ensure project alignment with wider business and data strategy.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills/Experience
- Proven background in Investment / Asset Management.
- Strong experience with Performance and Attribution systems, models, or processes.
- Demonstrable experience working within Agile delivery teams – writing user stories, epics, and functional documentation.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, both technical and business-facing.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives, work independently, and deliver to deadlines.
