Job Description Android Engineer Contract: Initial 6 months We?re looking for an experienced Android Engineer to join a high-profile mobile engineering team working on applications used by tens of millions of customers across the world. You'll be working for a globally recognised financial services organisation, helping to develop and enhance mobile applications used by customers every day. We?re looking for someone who combines strong technical ability with creativity and a genuine interest in delivering an excellent user experience. You'll be encouraged to share ideas, challenge existing approaches and help shape the way the team develops its products. As an Android Engineer, You'll be responsible for developing and improving high-quality mobile applications, working across the full development life cycle. Building, developing and improving Android applications Writing clean, maintainable and well-tested code Performance analysis and optimisation Working with modern Android development methodologies Developing unit and integration tests Working with Continuous Integration and modern development practices Contributing ideas and helping the team continuously improve its development practices We ' re looking for strong commercial experience in Android development, with knowledge of: Kotlin Android application development Asynchronous coding patterns Performance analysis and optimisation Unit and integration testing Has strong commercial experience building Android applications Is confident working with modern Android technologies and development practices Takes pride in writing clean, high-quality code Cares about user experience and building intuitive applications A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related subject, or equivalent commercial experience, would be beneficial.
