Square Mile Farms is on a mission to integrate farms into everyday city life to create inspiring places and experiences that bring people and organisations together and empower them to make healthier and more sustainable food and lifestyle choices. We do this by installing and managing hydroponic grow systems into urban areas, such as corporate offices, co-working spaces, apartment buildings, universities, hotels etc., so people can grow and consume their own zero miles, ultra-fresh salad greens and herbs where they live and work.

We are looking for our next Junior Client Manager to own a portfolio of our clients and the communities that enjoy our farms.

Client Management
  • Be the main relationship holder for day-to-day management of a portfolio of accounts, their farms and their community.
  • Work closely and consultatively with your client stakeholders to understand their business, respond to their needs and identify opportunities to engage the community (e.g. tying in to their annual events programme or ESG strategy).
Commercial Focus
  • Proactively drive revenue opportunities and grow the revenue of your accounts through a larger farm, through other sites, through events or through simply increasing the monthly recurring revenue.
  • Be fluent in the commercial terms/value of your portfolio.
  • Support broader sales initiatives in conjunction with the Exec team and actively identify enterprise opportunities.
  • Own your client’s ‘kick off’ experience - onboard new accounts, ensure their operational set up, share key content and messaging for internal promotion.
  • Support with client harvests and events to amplify the SMF experience, meet stakeholders and gauge reception for feedback.
  • Potentially work with external partnership brands to enhance the experience.
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to put together engaging content and materials.
  • Keep the CRM (Hubspot) up to date with appropriate level of commercial and operational detail and follow processes.
  • Consistently highly communicative across the business delivering feedback, insights, content etc.
  • Proactively support Head of Client Management to achieve business area objectives.
Projects
  • Support the development of the Client Management team by executing projects related to commercial, strategy, operational, client experience, process or team enhancement.
  • Add value outside of the day-to-day requirements of the role by taking on company-wide value driving projects (e.g. managing social community groups, EEG etc.).

Extraordinary interpersonal and relationship building skills, strong organisational skills and management of a To Do list, 1-2 years experience in account/relationship management, community management, events. Someone early in their career who wants to push themselves and take on legitimate ownership and responsibility and make a big impact in a start-up environment. Passionate about one or more of the following: improving the food system, growing at home, hydroponics, sustainability, nature, health and wellbeing.
