Exciting opportunity to join an expanding, international Non-Banking Financial Institution. The successful candidate will join an existing team and manage a diverse portfolio of GCM related transactions to include Trust & Agency, Loan Agency, Escrow/M&A, Structured Finance, and Corporate Services. This role involves managing key client relationships, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth and compliant management of the lifecycle of the transactions.
This is a unique opportunity for someone to work across a varied portfolio of assets/complex transactions, providing the individual with the ability to learn new products, more exposure and knowledge.
Responsibilities include:
- Negotiating and closing of transactions where our client provides Trust & Agency Services, Loan Agency, Escrow/M&A, Structured Finance, and Corporate Services (including provision of Directors).
- Experience of reviewing and negotiating structured finance, loan agency and/or escrow agency documents.
- Managing deal closing and post-close matters ranging from amendments, waivers and consents to distressed and defaulted transactions.
- Liaising with internal Relationship Management, Operational and Support teams throughout the lifecycle of the deal.
- Attending client meetings, industry events and conferences as appropriate.
- Assisting Sales with business development initiatives and coordinating transaction structures depending on asset type.
- Acting as the main point of contact across your portfolio, dealing with portfolio related escalations and resolving in a timely and effective manner.
- Identifying risk-related issues and escalating to senior members as appropriate.
- Providing support and training to less experienced team members.
- Understanding and adhering to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.
- Maintaining internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
- Ad-hoc duties as required.
Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in law and a minimum of 5 years’ related experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 9 years’ higher education and/or professional experience, including a minimum of 5 years’ related experience.
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or professional experience as a transaction manager in an established Trust & Agency business.
- Experience in either of the following: Corporate Trust, Loan Agency, Structured Finance, Corporate Services & Escrow.
