Exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development/Sales professional, with expertise in selling into investment banks and private market investment firms (private credit and asset managers) globally. You will be instrumental in further accelerating the growth of the business in the UK and EMEA regions to enhance overall wallet share.
The successful candidate will join a growing sales team and will be tasked with generating new business and solutions selling. You will have a solid knowledge of the financial industry landscape; specifically understanding of private markets, a strong established network and familiarity/knowledge of the agency function such as facility agent, security agent, cash manager, calculation agent and ESMA Reporting. An understanding of asset-based facility structure and borrowing base management workstreams is also beneficial.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop existing clients in maximising growth potential and growing agency business
- Identify new prospective buyers across private credit funds, investment banks, regional banks, and asset managers
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified prospects with a focus on revenue generation
- Responsible for all aspects of the sales process: prospecting, qualification, opportunity nurturing, and deal closing
- Focus on assigned target accounts/segments in order to achieve/exceed sales targets
- Executing the agency sales strategy by working on target clients and creating account plans for each opportunity
- Attending client meetings and delivering sales pitches/negotiating at senior levels
- Actively manage the CRM and ensuring sales activity is reported in a timely manner
Skills/Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in agency (facility agent, security agent, cash management) sales
- Strong agency related knowledge to include Fund Finance, Corporate Finance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- ESMA Reporting knowledge/experience is essential
- Ability to work independently to drive sales targets
- Self-motivated and driven to achieve/exceed targets within a sales environment
- Strong presentation skills and ability to demonstrate the value-add of technology
- Knowledge of investment management in the private market space is preferred but not essential
