Business Development – Trust/Private Client
Exciting opportunity for an individual with a passion for Business Development to join an expanding global offshore corporate services provider specialising in the provision of corporate administration, trust and fiduciary services. Our client is seeking someone with a proven background in Sales/Business Development to develop and continue to build a pipeline of business, converting contacts into clients and developing relationships, ensuring high levels of service/solutions and increasing wallet share.
Responsibilities include:
- Origination of valuable new business opportunities, in line with relevant business strategies;
- Achieving/exceeding new business targets, including identifying and assisting in the creation and implementation of new BD initiatives;
- Identifying and winning new business (mainly in the UK & European markets), formulating plan and working with BD team in identifying sales leads and converting sales;
- Guiding clients through the necessary documentation collection process to ensure a smooth business relationship whilst meeting KYC requirements;
- Growing the business\’ reputation as a trusted provider of high-quality solutions/services;
- Planning, arranging and attending client meetings, negotiating letters of engagement and compliance requirements as appropriate;
- Ensuring that the CRM system is updated with all contact and activity and changes;
- Building the business\’ brand to generate quality leads via:
- Attendance and participation at industry events
- Branded events
- Marketing materials
- Understanding products, varying jurisdictions, and competitors to ensure effective communication of USP and creating cross-selling opportunities.
Skills & experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in law, accounting or a related field;
- Relevant working experience in Trust / Private Wealth / Funds / offshore corporate structures;
- Strong technical ability in the private client field would be ideal;
- Familiarity with selling corporate structures (entities, Trust, Funds);
- Understanding of UK, BVI and Cayman Islands regulations, corporate transactions and succession instruments;
- Good knowledge of compliance and risk appetite/management procedures;
- Ability to manage coordination of complex multi-jurisdictional proposals involving multiple business lines;
- Ideal candidate will have a solid network within the industry and/be willing to build solid pipeline;
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills. Additional languages would be beneficial;
- Flexibility to travel as per demands of business/pipeline;
- Results-oriented, and able to manage priorities and workload
- Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team;
- Previous client facing and relationship managing experience.
