Exciting opportunity for an experienced, qualified Accountant to join an expanding, international organisation. The successful candidate will manage a small team of Accountants responsible for overseeing/meeting client accounting needs. This role will entail managing a portfolio of clients, reviewing financial statements and line management duties.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing a small team of Accountants.
- Assisting with staff recruitment and training.
- Meeting with internal teams/stakeholders to ensure adherence to contractual obligations and client specific KPIs.
- Reviewing financial statements, management accounts and bookkeeping across a variety of clients.
- Attending client meetings and providing technical accounting support.
- Assisting in creating and maintaining client specific accounting procedures and templates.
- Liaising with tax advisors and ensuring compliance with UK tax.
- Supporting the UK team with VAT service offering.
- Liaising with external auditors.
- Ad-hoc duties as required.
Skills/Experience:
- Fully qualified Accountant (i.e. ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Strong working knowledge of the finance industry and relevant legislation / regulatory requirements.
- Previous experience of working in a supervisory / managerial role.
- Strong working knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Solid knowledge/understanding of financial reporting requirements for corporate, real estate and private wealth clients.
- Experience of Real estate accounting.
- Experience of VAT return preparation and submissions.
- Strong communications skills.
