Provide day-to-day support to children and young people in a residential care setting.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with children and young people, promoting their emotional, social, and physical wellbeing.
• Encourage and support engagement in education, leisure, and social activities.
• Maintain accurate records of care, progress, and development.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to ensure high standards of care.
• Be a reliable source of guidance and support for young people\’s everyday needs.

Candidate Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in Children\’s Residential Care or willingness to work towards it.
• Experience in children\’s services or a related field is preferable.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing situations.
• Understanding of child development, safeguarding, and child protection.
• Valid driver\’s license.
• Passion, patience, and resilience to support young people facing challenges.
