Provide day-to-day support to children and young people in a residential care setting.
Responsibilities
- Build positive relationships with children and young people, promoting their emotional, social, and physical wellbeing.
- Encourage and support engagement in education, leisure, and social activities.
- Maintain accurate records of care, progress, and development.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to ensure high standards of care.
- Be a reliable source of guidance and support for young people\βs everyday needs.
Candidate Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Children\βs Residential Care or willingness to work towards it.
- Experience in children\βs services or a related field is preferable.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing situations.
- Understanding of child development, safeguarding, and child protection.
- Valid driver\βs license.
- Passion, patience, and resilience to support young people facing challenges.
