Responsibilities
- You will work as part of a team under the supervision of the QA Coordinator; finding, reporting and working through errors in the assigned game; following test plans and completing assigned tasks on time.
- Execution of other duties under the leadership of the QA management.
- Game testing and proofreading.
- Identifying and reporting linguistic errors and in-game defects.
- Accuracy: Ensuring all translated content is correct and not misleading.
- Contextual Appropriateness: Verifying that the text is appropriate for the context in which it appears.
- Correct display: Confirming that the text is displayed correctly on screen.
- General tasks in the area of quality assurance (QA).
- Checking anything linked to the game (e.g. website, companion app).
- Other general QA tasks.
Qualifications
- Excellent native German language skills and a good eye for detail.
- Clear communication (spoken & written).
- Able to work methodically and logically.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Knowledge about role-playing games and console games.
- Able to work under pressure and on time.
- Knowledge of MMORPGs (especially Final Fantasy XIV).
- Previous industry experience in QA testing.
- A lively interest in computer games.
