Working within the EMEA Marketing Development team, the Marketing Manager for launch (frontline) titles plays a crucial role in the development and execution of Go To Market plans for selected titles at an EMEA level.
This is a generalist marketing position working within a small tightknit team.
The ideal candidate will be an all rounder with a clear understanding of the building blocks of a great marketing campaign; creative, paid media, social, influencer, loc/versioning and retail, taking strategic plans from our Global Marketing team and turning them into successful go to market executions.
They will thrive in a busy and collaborative work environment, and have strong communication skills across functional and geographical boundaries.
They will work closely with a variety of internal teams and external partners and be a project management rockstar capable of balancing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
This role requires attendance at our London office 3x days a week.
Requirements
- Key Deliverables
- Act as a key project lead across internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment on priorities, approvals, timelines, and campaign deliverables.
- Support and at times lead the development of integrated EMEA marketing launch activation programs, managing campaign timelines and workbacks, defining key performance indicators (KPIs), budgets, and cost per activity to ensure successful campaign execution.
- Closely collaborate with internal Market Development teams based in Los Angeles and Tokyo to align on activities as well as internal cross-functional teams.
- Coordinate with external partners, including distribution partners and support agencies.
- Manage asset localization and versioning of assets.
- Lead, brief, coordinate, and optimize media campaigns.
- Support community, social, and content initiatives that strengthen player engagement and advocacy throughout the campaign lifecycle.
- Contribute to the production of compelling video and social media content, driving engagement and brand awareness across digital platforms.
- Develop and execute creator and influencer programs, identifying opportunities to drive awareness, engagement, credibility, and conversion across multiple content platforms.
- Gather and analyze data from agencies to evaluate campaign performance and identify areas for optimization, reallocating budget as needed to maximize ROI.
- Contribute to the development of regional launch strategies, helping adapt global marketing direction to local market needs, audience insights, and business objectives.
Qualifications and Skills
Essential
- 3-5 years of experience in a generalist videogame marketing role, with a focus on integrated multi-market campaign management across EMEA
- Experience working with major gaming platform holders (Play Station, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam, Epic Games Store) is highly desirable
- Experience managing external creative, media, influencer, or localization agencies
- Experience briefing and reviewing creative marketing assets, including trailers, social content, and digital advertising materials
- Great project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency in marketing analytics tools and platforms
- Strong budget management skills, including budget phasing, agency scoping, purchase orders and invoices tracking
- Excellent communication, intercultural and interpersonal skills. Demonstrable creative thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices
- Experience with Influencer relations and managing Influencer programs
- Passion for Square Enix IP and video games with a strong understanding of the current gaming and entertainment landscape. Bonus if your dream is to ride a Chocobo
