Company Overview

We are a dynamic marketing agency specialising in web design, branding, marketing (including SEO, PPC, Social Media, and graphic design), as well as software development. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a highly organised and proactive Freelance Project Manager to join our team and help ensure that all projects are delivered on time and to the highest standard.

Job Location: Essex/Remote/Hybrid

Reports To: Company Director

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Coordination: Ensure all projects are completed on time and meet client expectations.
  • Team Communication: Liaise with team members to track progress and ensure tasks are completed.
  • Client Interaction: Participate in client calls as needed, maintain a professional phone manner, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Operational Support: Assist the business owner by providing updates, managing schedules, and helping with day-to-day operations.
  • Sales Management: Oversee the project management aspect of sales, ensuring smooth transitions from sales to project execution.
  • Client Management: Set realistic expectations for clients, push back on out-of-scope requests, and ensure additional work is quoted and communicated promptly.
  • Freelancer Coordination: Ensure freelancers adhere to deadlines and deliver quality work, even when they have other commitments.
  • Tools Management: Utilise PipeDrive for sales, ClickUp for project management, and Better Proposals for sending proposals.

  • Project Management Experience: Proven experience in managing multiple projects within a marketing or similar agency environment.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional phone manner.
  • Organisational Skills: Ability to multitask, prioritise, and manage time effectively.
  • Assertiveness: Confident in pushing back on clients and team members when necessary to maintain project scope and timelines.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with PipeDrive, ClickUp, and Better Proposals, or the ability to quickly learn these tools.
  • Problem‐Solving: Strong problem‐solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Client‐Focused: A client‐first attitude with a focus on delivering high‐quality service.

Qualifications

  • PMP, Prince2, Agile, or similar Project Management certification preferred but formal qualification not required
  • Minimum 2 years of project management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing marketing, web design, branding, and software development projects. Or evidence that skills are cross‐transferable.
  • Strong proficiency in project management software tools.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
