As we expand our operations, we are currently seeking a highly motivated Business Development Officer to help grow our software development division.

Job Location: Essex & London

Reports To: Business Owner

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation: Identify and qualify new business opportunities in the software development sector through networking, cold calls, and market research.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare compelling proposals, presentations, and RFP/RFQ responses for software development projects.
  • Sales Strategy: Work closely with the marketing and product teams to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
  • Revenue Growth: Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets for the software development division.
  • Negotiation: Effectively negotiate contracts to secure profitable deals.
  • Market Intelligence: Keep up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies to inform business development strategies.
  • Reporting: Generate regular reports on sales activities, revenue projections, and client feedback to senior management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in business development, preferably in the software development industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of software development processes and technologies.
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
