Senior Manager, Software Engineering - DevOps

The Head of Software Engineering will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Squarcle’s software engineering organisation, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and innovative technology solutions. This individual will drive the company’s engineering strategy, foster a culture of technical excellence, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives. Ensure the delivery of high-quality, secure, and scalable cloud-based software solutions. Champion best practices in agile development, DevOps, and CI/CD methodologies. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the engineering teams. Oversee engineering budgets, resource allocation, and vendor relationships. Establish and enforce engineering standards, coding guidelines, and system architecture best practices. Support the development of Squarcle policies and processes. 10+ years of experience in software engineering. ~ Expertise in modern software architecture, microservices, and cloud platforms (ideally Azure). ~ Experience with Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines. This role requires you to have lived in the UK for the last 5 years and obtain Security Check (SC) security clearance . Obtaining SC security clearance can be a lengthy process, and we reserve the right to withdraw any conditional offer made if the necessary security clearance isn’t obtained within 6 months.
