About Squarcle / The Team

Squarcle is a growing strategy, operations and digital consultancy dedicated to driving the performance of our clients. We are people-oriented and pride ourselves on our people-first culture. Unlike many consultancies, Squarcle is equally dedicated to delivery as it is to design.

Job Overview / Introduction

Delivering programmes of national importance demands expertise in understanding how organisations align people, processes, and technology to deliver the specified outcomes. As an Op Model Senior Consultant within the Enterprise Digitisation and Change capability, you will bring demonstrable experience in designing and implementing Target Operating Models (TOM). You will be asked to design and implement a TOM for our client, enabling them to deliver one of the UK’s most ambitious transformation programmes with clarity, confidence, and control.

At Squarcle, we work in a matrix structure designed to support your growth and success. You’ll have a Performance Manager to guide your career development, and an Engagement Manager to support your day-to-day project work. This role sits within our Enterprise Design and Change Capability, where you’ll work closely with our Enterprise, Design, and Change MD and be asked to contribute to the development of the capability. As a Senior Consultant, within our Enterprise, Design, and Change capability, you’ll be joining us as we build momentum. There’s room for people to shape how we grow.

Primary Roles And Responsibilities

  • Leading the design and evolution of Target Operating Models for large, complex programmes – translating strategy into clear, actionable structures and ways of working.
  • Working with senior stakeholders to define how teams, systems, and governance align to deliver programme outcomes effectively.
  • Supporting the TOM Lead to develop and refine our in-house TOM frameworks, tools, and methods – helping set the standard for how we deliver enterprise design.
  • Coaching and upskilling colleagues in TOM design and deployment, building capability across our wider consulting teams.
  • Bringing fresh thinking and lessons learned from live programmes to improve how we deliver transformation across the business.
  • Driving clarity and alignment in a complex programme with multiple stakeholders, each with different priorities and perspectives.
  • Translating strategic objectives into practical, actionable operating models that work in practice across large-scale, high-stakes programmes.
  • Working on operating models that are central to our client offerings – influencing multiple opportunities over time.
  • Delivering an operating model for a high-profile, complex programme with real national strategic impact.
  • Encouraging effective working in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with senior clients, acting as a trusted advisor and securing buy-in for the case for change and delivery approach.
  • Understanding client business objectives, challenges, and industry trends, including supply chain dynamics, logistics constraints, procurement practices, and end-to-end operational flows.
  • Ensuring high client satisfaction through effective communication and timely delivery of project milestones and deliverables, with consideration for supply chain impacts and dependencies.
  • Providing guidance for more junior consultants, including mentoring those involved in supply chain or operations-related analysis, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Fostering knowledge sharing and best practices within the consulting team, particularly in areas related to operations and supply-chain management.

Secondary Roles And Responsibilities

  • Production of internal reporting.
  • Develop and refine Squarcle methods.
  • Support for wider team activities, such as knowledge sessions and recruitment.

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Experience working as a Business Analyst.
  • Well-developed core consulting skills – research, analysis, presentation and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and client/customer service.
  • Aptitude to grasp new concepts and produce effective outputs/results.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a growth mindset – an analytical, innovative, and creative approach.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • A strong work ethic with the ability to be self-directed and an independent contributor to the team.
  • Ability to structure and manage intensive workloads.
  • Ability to lead teams.
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • A worthy team player dedicated to contributing toward the desired outcome of the team and the business.
