We are seeking an experienced digital Product Manager to lead the development of a secure, scalable data analytics platform used within highly regulated environments. This platform will enable advanced analytics, reporting, and decision support while adhering to stringent regulatory, security and governance requirements. You will operate at the intersection of data, security, and enterprise technology, balancing innovation with compliance. The role requires close collaboration with engineering, data teams, security architects and regulatory stakeholders to deliver trusted, high-quality data products.

The Product Manager will work with the Product Director and the Head of Software Engineering to define the product roadmap, align stakeholders across technical and operational domains, and lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver scalable, user-centric analytics capabilities. The role requires experience balancing product innovation with regulatory, security, and operational constraints. Development teams will be based in the UK and overseas.
Primary Roles And Responsibilities
- Product Strategy & Vision
- Define and own the vision, roadmap, and strategy for a secure data analytics platform.
- Balance innovation (AI/ML, advanced analytics) with regulatory constraints and risk management.
- Ensure alignment with organisational goals, regulatory frameworks and user needs.
- Secure Product Design & Compliance
- Ensure the platform is secure by design, meeting requirements for classified or sensitive environments.
- Embed compliance with standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, UK GDPR / Data Protection Act.
- Work with security and assurance teams to meet accreditation requirements (e.g. secure environments, restricted networks).
- Define requirements for data access controls, encryption, audit logging and secure data sharing.
- Data & Analytics Capability
- Define capabilities for data ingestion and integration (ERP, operational systems, external sources).
- Data modelling, transformation, and governance.
- Self-service analytics and reporting.
- Advanced analytics (AI/ML, predictive modelling).
- Ensure data lineage, quality and traceability are embedded across the platform.
- Delivery Leadership
- Lead a cross-functional team (product, engineering, architecture, cyber, data).
- Drive agile delivery at scale, balancing flexibility with governance.
- Oversee integration with enterprise systems (ERP, logistics, operational platforms).
- Stakeholder & Commercial Management
- Engage with senior stakeholders across technology, operations, risk and compliance.
- Translate complex regulatory and operational requirements into clear product features.
- Act as the bridge between technical teams and business users.
- Support users in highly controlled environments with differing clearance levels.
- Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Define success metrics such as platform adoption, data quality, compliance adherence, and operational impact.
- Use telemetry and user feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure ongoing compliance as regulations evolve.

- Support the internal staffing processes including performance management of assigned individuals.
- Encourage effective working in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture.
- Conduct performance reviews and annual appraisals for performance appraisees.
- Lead, coach and mentor team members.

- Provide mentoring and guidance to junior Squarcle consultants.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback and identify training needs.

- Thought Leadership and Industry Expertise
- Stay updated on data analytics industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
- Contribute to thought leadership initiatives.
- Participate in professional development activities, such as attending seminars or pursuing relevant certifications.

- Assist with Squarcle recruitment and retention activities.
- Support the development of Squarcle policies and processes.
Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Product Manager for data platforms, analytics products or enterprise SaaS.
- Strong understanding of data architecture (data lakes, warehouses, APIs, data fabric).
- Experience working in highly regulated environments (e.g. defence, healthcare, public sector, financial services).
- Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks (e.g. GDPR, ISO 27001).
- Experience working with agile delivery teams.
- Strong stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
Desirable
- Experience with secure cloud platforms (e.g. Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services) including government or restricted regions.
- Understanding of zero-trust security models and identity/access management.
- Exposure to AI/ML in regulated contexts.
- Experience with data governance tooling and metadata management.
Qualifications & Certifications
- Degree in a relevant field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or similar).
- Product and/or agile certifications (e.g. SAFe, Scrum) desirable.
- Security or data-related certifications advantageous.
